Joseph Education College Signed A Memorandum of Agreement – MOA with SARASAS SUVARNABHUMI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY from Thailand

We have a joy for sharing with you the latest development at Joseph Education College.

Joseph Education College signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the esteemed and prestigious SARASAS SUVARNABHUMI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY from Thailand on 17 August 2025. As the founders of the institutes are both Catholic Christians, they shared the Catholic values’ foundation in these institutional academic programs as well.

The purpose of this Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is to develop a friendly relationship between the Union Republic of Myanmar and the Kingdom of Thailand, as well as and Joseph Education College and Sarasas Suvarnabhumi Institute of Technology.  The parties agree to establish a cooperative and exchange in academics, research, personnel exchanges on teaching and students and to carry out cooperative program and activities under this cooperation and to promote mutually beneficial academic linkages.

SARASAS SUVARNABHUMI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY and Joseph Education College MoU

Both institutions intend to collaboratively pursue the following activities:

1. Faculty and school exchanges, including visiting scholars, exchange teachers, and researchers.
2. Student exchanges, including both long-term and short-term.
3. Sharing of academic information and materials.
4. Collaboration in research, including joint research programs and the exchange of research findings.
5. Joint training programs for both students and faculty.
6. Co-hosting of conferences and academic forums.
7. Collaborative, project-based learning between students of both institutions.
8. Joint online instruction and learning initiatives.
9. Shared excursions and cultural immersion programs.
10. Co-teaching of online classes on similar topics.
11. Collaboration in hosting international academic conferences.
12. Other international cooperation and exchange programs as mutually agreed.
13. Recruitment of Burnese teachers to work at Sarasas Suvarnabhumi Institute of Technology and Sarasas Affiliated Schools, Thailand.

Graduation Ceremony of Children’s Summer Education Program

Joseph Education University provided children’s summer education program to children between the age of 6 to 15 years old who are at the vicinity of our campus. This program took two months from April to May 2022. The background of this program was that due to the corona virus pandemic, known as Covid-19, occurred since in December 2019, the whole world has been in choas in businesses, educations, health-systems, politics and in religions perishing more than about 6.2 millions of people.

Such bad impact was also seen in Myanmar too. As our children postponed attending schools for their education for 2 years, many children who are in the age of school, got married or wavering. Therefore JEU created an environment where flickering children can learn life skills and recap their primary education.

We were glad to see the supports of their parents, sending their children to our campus program. We recruited (52) numbers of students under our summer program. Their graduation was done on 23 May 2022 in our campus.
